On a lazy fall day in October 2016 while visiting my website and social media guru Tucker Horne in Huntersville, N.C. Tucker told me ALL about his INTENSE PASSION for fly fishing and how he has not only been on the American fly fishing team, but also led fishing expeditions in Colorado for visitors such as well-known Southern Cooking chef Paula Deen.   That day Tucker suggested I join him on his next fishing outing and “work” on location while hitting the fishing streams of his favorite go-to fishing hole in Stone Mountain State Park in the mountains of North Carolina. Although I silently freaked out a little as I was hesitant to tackle any outdoor activity without prime access to a bathroom or a Starbucks in plain sight I couldn’t help but sympathize with Tucker’s passion for fishing.  Just as I can go on and on about Chanel’s latest bag or my massive shoe collection that scares the living daylights out of my dating pool, Tucker too has the same passion for fishing and was hellbent on sharing it with me. As a result I thought why not give it a try but of course look like a professional fisherwoman while doing so. Any excuse to dress up is good enough for me!

A couple of days later we were off to Stone Mountain State Park with vintage Abercrombie fishing rod in hand ready to tackle Tucker’s rainbow trout fish. Of course while Tucker focused his attention on the fish I focused mine on getting some fabulous photos in my traditional “fisherwoman” outfit currently sold at JCrew! Check out my athletic skills and fabulous outfit in action!
