The 12 Dogs of Christmas
The 12 Dogs of Christmas is 12 FAMOUS Instagram dogs shot at 12 different NYC locations in holiday-inspired shoots with each shoot bringing awareness to a different charity. I birthed this idea as I have been very involved with the NYC dog community here over the years and have already shot with many of the dogs in this and i just ADORE dogs! Many of the dogs have special talents or are know for specific types of shots so I tried to incorporate them when applicable as much as possible. I hope you enjoy this project as much as I do!

On the first day of Christmas @Mr.MonsterPup said woof woof to me, “Let’s go decorate the @newyorkpalace The Palace Hotel Lotte place Christmas Tree.”
I had an absolute BLAST shooting the first day of Christmas with Mr. Monster Pup and the adorable owner Laura Gorman who I have known for sometime in the dog community and through friends. We both decided for our shoot we wanted to bring awareness to The Salvation Army as we both has a special familial connection to the this organization. My grandfather Douglas Leckie Jr. was on the board for OVER 15 year as he was a Veteran of WWII and felt passionate about the cause. Laura Gorman. Laura’s father has been heaving involved with raising money for the Salvation Army in Petowskey, Michigan as well. As a result we thought this organization was a no-brainer!
Founded in 1865, The Salvation Army has a longstanding tradition of assessing and helping local as well as international communities facing hardships and difficulties. From disaster relief to combating poverty and hunger to serving veterans, The Salvation Army aims to provide both short and long term assistance.
